Good to see Arunachalam back in the news.

Recently I was mad at myself for forgetting to buy an FUD (Female Urination Device) when I contemplated having to use a toilet that had no toilet seat covers. Made do with the toilet paper laid out in a triangle.

Reading about this guy's efforts, put things in perspective. He looks older than he did few years ago in his TED talk. He is still funny. Says at one point in the video: Everyone wants to be in the Forbes List. No one wants to be a solution provider.

"Couldn't I make life a leetul less miserable for her?" --- had been the impetus to get AM going in the first place. The boys who get this message, make their home a happy place; those who don't, make themselves and everyone else suffer a lot.

The india's mensuration man was on aljazeera too recently. I am happy there is momentum and there are fruits for all his initial struggles. So happy for him.

In a world where sand is stuffed into old socks (amritsar as last year) and used even now and ash is used for the same this low cost will help maybe the a small percentage.(africa)

There are ngos that sell anandi pads (compostable pads)
also some others have come up with resusable cloth pads. (Auroville, uger) they are still costly.

The fiber used in some brands of pads is said to be a cause of concern. The menstrual cups are slowly being accepted by urban ladies..

Redtape is a big pain. Add government interventions and more. This guy could have taken this out on a large scale long back if governement wanted it to..

Kerala is akin to CA. CA sticking to Paris Accord and Kerala sticking to selling beef!

SANITARY PADS ARE LUXURIES ? :rage: ( see article in link below)
Government's GST rules are weird. Girls need to send their slightly used luxury items to their MP's in the parliament to enjoy the residual values in those lux-goods.
