Running club for four weeks !

    Hi All

    I am back after long long time .... I missed the IL and been really on and off from exercise routine. I am determined to lose the last 10 kgs by running for a month .... hmmmm dont ever think that just by running for a month you will lose 10 kgs never ever My plan is to run for a month and lose 2 kgs as a tip and work my way up .

    Week 1 : Run 1.5 km - 2km without a break daily
    Week 2: Run 2- 3kms without a break daily
    Week 3 : Run 3-3.5kms without a break daily
    Week 4: Run 3.5kms without a break daily

    Diet :

    Breakky : Oats porridge
    Pre lunch : 1 cup yoghurt
    Lunch : rice + veggies (*** limit the quantity of rice to 1 cooked cup - small soup bowl)
    Dinner : clear soups any type ( chicken soup,veggies soup )

    My starting weight is : 59kgs

    Is it possible to cross train at all? It's better than running alone. Running daily can hurt your knees. I've heard alternating it with swimming is the best for weight loss as well as muscle recover post run. Even alternating with strength training is good. I'm not an expert though. I used to alternate with Zumba. Now I only run. Still don't do daily runs. Thrice a week is a big deal still!

    I wanna join you but I am currently running for 2 days in week but I want to increase it to 3 days in a week :)

    Good advise laks i actually ran only four times in a week 1 (each 1.5km - 1.75kms) and three days i did yoga and cardio ...

    Zingy as laks advise it is better to do three -four times a week should suffice our weight loss and stamina ..

    I fell down on saturday so no workout for two days but did pilates for 15 mins today .
