hi mankan,
thanks for appreciating my work. i did blue work in name plate using marble .i sticked marble stones smallest size using fevicol and then colored them with blue color...

procedure for aarti plate ..


draw whatevar design u want to with black marker
then with kundan moti and glitters u can decorate them
it depends on you how heavy thali u want
if u want a real heavy look thali put more of kundan
i have one thali i have made that way i will upload its pic soon.
and for color combinations too its ur choicde
personally i like magenta blue and silver combination
red green and golden combination
once u r done with this u can put a chemical resin hardener on it if you want to.
but i wont suggest you to use it unless you have learned how to use it from some professional.

Hi friends,
We were very eager to make many other things for the wedding, but due to various things it was not possible.(we dreaded the state of the decorations after the jounery from Chennai to Guruvayur) Still we did some very simple ones.
Please do look up these and post comments. They are just so simple, I can say that.

First of all, thanks a lot for posting how to make different stiches (like lace, flower) using beads. Yday I was searching in the crafts section and believe me it was perfect tutorial for beginners like me who dont know where to start. I wanted to appreciate in the thread but it was closed. (I dont know why!) So I take this opportunity to thank you. I would be happy to see the art work postings from you that you have done based on those stitches. Can you please post some - preferably mentioning the stitch name?

And on this thread, even I am disappointed in not finding your attachments in the entire thread. Till I had hit the last page, I didnt know that it was removed.

Can you please provide the link of your album? Also, I find in the thread that you have mentioned the procedure of making thoranam. Even that is missing. Have you posted that too? I am more interested in thoranam and ganesha.
