Rhymes which you learnt from Your Kids ..

    dont worry soniya.... after u have a kid teach all these rhymes from this thread.. ur kid will surely enjoy these rymes and say Amma .... neenga romba arivaliya irukkeengale... :biglaugh

    Hi Swashika dear. Nice I caught this thread just now and you really made my day. Now for the past 10 mins I have been singing all these rhymes and enjoying to myself (ofcourse in my mind).

    This reminds me of one rhyme which I learnt from my son (in late 80's. I loved it so much mostly becos of the tune and shortly all my friends who were also new mothers just like me, asked me to take copies and distribute them. I had then a rhymes cassettee by Preeti Sagar and later on gave it away to another colleague when his daughter was growing up.

    It goes like this.....

    You put your left hand in you put your left hand out
    You put your left hand in and shake it all about
    You do the boogie boogie and turn yourself around
    And that's what it is all about.

    Likewise we have to repeat for right hand, left leg, right leg etc. He used to do it with actions and believe me even I used to enjoy doing the actions myself along with my son.

    Thanks for making me nostalgic.! (My son is now 23 yrs old!)

    thanks for stepping in and posting ur experience and a wonderful rhyme...

    its tune is awesome... i have heard this song as Hockey Pockey.....

    its a good action rhyme...

    to the sweet shop
    to buy a lovely lollipop...

    lollipop is yellow
    have u seen the fellow
    buffalo is black
    black is the bat

    lollipop is white
    have u seen the kite
    flying very high
    flying in the sky

    u go hop hop
    to the sweet shop
    to buy a lovely lollipop....
