    Yes Swashika its really nice to teach our kids new rhymes....it will be great if we can teach them with actions as well ...they will enjoy it ....

    Here is one more rhyme Swashika which i remember ...

    Roses are red
    ------is blue
    [​IMG] i don't remember the second line
    sugar is sweet and so are you!

    "THREE BLIND MICE

    THEY ALL RAN AFTER THE FARMER'S WIFE
    WHO CUT OFF THEIR TAILS WITH A FARMING KNIFE
    DID YOU EVER SEE SUCH THING IN YOUR LIFE

    wow... Brahan.... thats a nice catchy rhyme.. i really like the tune of the rhyme...

    initially my kids were not able to sing the fast portion.. so they used to blabber something.. thats would be so nice to look at them...

    im so happy that ur promoted to senior ilite... great ... Congrats ... :party

    for the above rhyme, my daughter always tells this rhyme(very freqently) but i could always understand only the first 3 lines from her, the other three she always blabbbers away.
    now i can teach those lines properly to her.

    My rhyme...

    Two little dicky birds
    Sitting on a wall
    One named Peter
    The other named Paul
    Fly away, Peter
    Fly away, Paul
    Come back, Peter
    Come back, Paul

    you have to keep your hands together(like one on the other palms facing u) and only thumbs up.... so u cal one thumb peter and other one paul.. so fly away peter close one thumb. fly away paul close other one... for come back peter open up one thumb and for come back paul open the other thumb up....

    the 1st rhyme is so funny.... when i heard for the 1st time i thought why there is no meaning it... but again the tune is good....

    thank you sairipa.... you are welcome to write tamil rhymes also which u learnt new from your kids..
