At the victim's heart he took an aim Then brutally his body he maimed Not caring he would have to do the time He committed a heinous crime Serene smile on his face Content with absolute disgrace He is standing in the court They say he's a sadist sort Only he knew how sweet the revenge felt After all he had played the cards he'd been dealt.
A wealth of emotions, thoughts, and human actions described beautifully in a short poem. And the lines rhyme. Call me old-fashioned, but for the longest time, poems that didn't have a rhyme, felt like not-poem. Some rides are worth the fall. Good one, Pooja. I have to go and read your other writings.
