paed said that the prob will go off when baby is 3 months. didnot advice to give gripe water as most brands contains traces of alchol which actually soothes baby and puts him to sleep. so we avoid gripe water
Their digestive system is still developing and sometimes it is very difficult for them. Give him regular gas drops as well and give him a little bit of exercise. Also, he may have acid reflux since his esophagus is immature. Elevate his crib with a wedge( I used pillow) so he doesn't lie down straight or use carseat to give him naps or play time. See if it helps. Also, my son too was a bit overweight, but because when in pain or in discomfort, he found nursing with me as a big of comfort. Once the pain relieved, his feed dropped. If you find that he is crying too much, try to note events around his crying. My son had severe infection that doctors could not catch and I insisted them to check and run all tests. All the while, the crying was blamed on colic, gas etc. Then I said no its not normal and my one month old always cry around peeing. So be on alert for any symptoms. Mom knows the best.
Hi, I too have the same problem with my daughter regarding colic. at first my doc gave colimex and colicaid. It did not work very well but Later he gave Himalaya Bonnisan and this has helped immensely. She is now in her 6th month and is still using it
