Why is this even a question? Obviously"she" gets more space. I know it is not equality blah blah but i need the closet and shoe space and counter space, thanks very much

Forget about equality. It doesn't apply here. She needs more space in every place. Period.

    Wrong question, Rihji,
It should be how much more space she deserves than him ?
Now my answer, a fair distribution -
For the average woman 200% , she gets 75 and he gets 25
For the minimalistic lady, 50% more ie. she gets 60 and he a 40
For the hoarder woman, she the the full house, he rents out space.

I am not a stick in the mud, and not a prude either. Really... but this question keeps coming to mind: why do women who are powerful celebrities and public personalities wear dresses that reveal breasts? Like our own Priyanka Chopra at the Golden Globe Awards: Golden Globe 2017: Priyanka sizzles in gold!

Not just film stars, it seems to be a "requirement" to wear a dress that shows a major portion of one's assets at any event with high profile personalities.. I can understand showing a little cleavage, but so much exposed real estate, exposed so creatively, always makes me wonder why they do that. These are women who strongly protest the objectification of women. Even more odd when the women are journalists etc who have accomplished so much in their own fields.

This is not criticizing them, more a think aloud.

    For the celebs at least:
media asks What are your wearing today? they tell a designer name.

so I think the actress don't have much choice, don't know how much they can tell how the dress should be. Designer gets name and gets costlier. And all media talks actresses how gorgeous she looked on red carpet. It is a huge business.
I think it is american culture even for normal people that party or vacation means little revealing clothes. May be in college and high school americans do while growing up it as a normal thing and continue same as adults .. I guess.

I think these are strong women and the way they are projecting themselves with body language and confidence and humor etc giving very strong message that not to objectify me, I am comfortable with female body, not ashamed of it.

@Rihana, it seems that the actresses need to be glamorous. In most of the movies, actresses have very little role and are there just for the glamour factor. Maybe something similar goes for the parties and the award functions. The organizers want to make the function glamorous and not a professional meeting like TIE.
Sonam recently wore a similar dress in the stardust award function, so it is getting introduced in Indian functions as well. I like such dresses rather than the huge pushed up cleavage show (of course on the actresses).
