What psychobabble is that? These are regular women who have husbands who simple want peace at at any cost when their parents are unreasonable. The women are at their wit's end on what to do. The entire cast of characters is caught up in the mix of traditional and modern. And now you bring in some thing about labeling being self-fulfilling prophecy? No woman labels her husband just like that one cranky morning. It happens over time.

I guess I am of a simpler mind. I understand it is not good and not useful in any way to belittle a man or a woman. But when a man is too much under the influence of his mother or woman under the influence of her father, the terms momma's boy and daddy's girl do apply. I don't get this "do not label" when the woman is having to live with the characteristics of that label day and night.

That quote above - doesn't that go against the other belief that needlessly praising kids or people will set them up for shock in real life?
