@Thyagarajan Thanks Sir,
Hoping we all get positive response from Aditi today
Thanks. I have and few others have faith in what we do. Swami Vivekanand’s quote “faith moves mountains” cross the mind.
When the american seal team went in guns blazing, Osama was watching just that genre of video. Never mind he had three wives with him, one of them young enough to be his grand daughter, in that hideout house.
Okay agreed older men watch it too
Too ?! Not so. They are the major segment. Internet advertisers track people's behavior so well these days. Apparently the men's transition from amateur/intramural participation to becoming mostly spectators happens in late middle age and increases after that.
The "older people" have the time, the earning power, the disposable income (for advertisers) and prefer not to be cajoled into participating in events where they hadn't broken their own best in more than a few years. Obviously this includes squash, raquetball and any other sports where both players are within their own four walls, and no partitions separating them.
The solution to reducing too much screen-time is to get some substitute that occupies that time. Group activities where the old guys can go out and hobnob with buddies in a club, or watch sports in an actual stadium or arena. Take the child or grandkids out to a park, or to play catch. etc. etc.
If Osama had formed his own semi-pro soccer team, he had enough progeny to do that too, and spent time on that, the whole history of the world might have gone on a different track.
Nice thoughts and my decision is same as you because I prefer to live how I like and I don't want to bother anyone at any stage of my life.. It isn't so easy to make adjustments between saas and bahu because they belong to different generations. I will Let them lead their life how they want to and I can support/help them when they need it. I always wish and pray for their happiness.
Spot on ! Some good points written..
We can just agree to disagree on the above statement about Kannagi. My views are different. It’s quite a debate and if you’re are interested can listen to this and this. It’s in Tamil though.
