How to prepare rice flour for Kozhukkattai

If you grind in a flour mill you will get fine flour. If you do it in a mixture grinder you will not get that much soft. but if you grind the rice after 'wash and dry' you will get good flour, which will give you good 'bakshanam'
ok ya? here I am giving the procedure of 'kalaindhu vularthum mavu' ok?

well, you have to wash the rice for 2 - 3 times to remove the dirt in the rice. That is all no need to soak rice. Now drain the water and put the rice in a cloth under fan. NOT UNDER SUN LIGHT. Say 1/2 an hour to 1 hour.
Let it retain some moisture. Then grind the rice in a mixer grinder and sieve and get good 'rice flour' use it for all snacks.

By doing this you will get 'very white kozhukattai' - vellai veler kozhukattai :)

    Chick Peas (koththu kadalai )Sundal

    Ingredients:

    Chick Peas (koththu kadalai ) - 1 1/2 cups
    Grated Coconut - 3 tbsp
    Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
    Urad Dhal - 1/2 tsp
    Dry Red Chilly - 2
    Curry Leaves - some
    Asafetida - a pinch
    Oil - 1 tsp
    Salt to taste

    Method:

Soak the chick peas over night to prepare sundal the next day.

Wash and clean the soaked chick peas and cook in pressure cook.

Decant the water and let stand for a few minutes.

Heat up the oil and fry the mustard seeds, urad dhal, asafetida, chilly and curry leaves.

Add the coconut and salt and add the cooked peas and mix well.

Stir for a few minutes until the salt and coconut are evenly distributed.

Now the sundal is ready to 'Naivediam'

Note: If you are not going to use the sundal for 'Naivediam', then you can use canned chick peas.

In this case, use up the entire can.

Wash well a couple of times and decant water completely.

    NO NEED TO COOK.

Just fry the other ingredients and mix in the salt and coconut.

Stir over a medium flame for a few minutes.

    Your sundal is ready.

which dough ammu? 'kalaindhu ularththi araththathaa? ' then it is no problem, but no need to keep the washed rice in sun light. we usually prepare on the function day after taking bath :)
