    Tamil Nadu govt functions on a freebie basis. During Pongal people get free saris and dhotis. Jayalalitha used to give laptops, cycles mixies, grinders and (hold your breath) even goats to people as freebies at taxpayers' expense. So is it surprising that looking for freebies seems to be in the genes of the people of the state.?t

    Voters are cynics. They know the candidates will do nothing on getting elected. So they are trying to get the minimum possible from them even before polls.

    Seems like these freebies have done their job! Dinakaran is leading and their team is celebrating and dancing! Feels shameful to think that it only requires so much for people to follow them.

    That was a hilarious and satirical post....
    Freebies are all it needs for both the voters and the political parties to buy/sell the votes....
    Either the general public is fed up of the way the things function or they still might have some hope....
    Or maybe freebies are the only thing they can get, because hey who has time for all those promises....

    Yes, because voters feel, why not... all said and done, some things cannot be changed, one such is freebies during elections...
