@GeetaKashyap , That is the first song that came to mind when you said rain songs...in Kannada of course
one more my favorite rain song from "Anand". One of my most favorite movie and Shekar Khammula molded heroin [ Kamalini Mukherji ]character so well. I always like to watch this movie again and again.
Because AK persists to uncover the mysterious girl at a chance encounter — in rain, on bicycles, bedraggled, across puddles, with umbrellas, in trench coats, in a beckoning song with gymnastic leaps.
Monsoon...pakodas, tea, curled up in a couch with a good book...some of the rain songs are from school days, and brings back fond memories.. Rajendra Kumar has had a number of lovely song picturized on him... One of my favorites... One of the leading pairs of their times... My latest favorite..Shreya Ghoshal and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan...
Savan barse tarse featuring Akshaye Khanna and Sonali Bendre is one of my all time favourites like the Rim Jim... bcoz of its beautiful picturization of crazy rains in Mumbai. This song captures all the features of mumbai monsoons like the wet roads, traffic jams, pot holes, taxis, fisherwomen etc. There is such a fresh feel to this song. As long as it is Baarish, we can tolerate even Anu Mallik!
@Rihana, Lovely songs. Oh, how good and innocent Dev Anand and Waheeda Rehman Look! Sridevi's oomph and Anil Kapoor's Innocence; a deadly combo.
I am hearing this nice song by S Janaki from the film 'Idhayathai Thirudathe'(Geethanjali-Telugu version) a wonderful combination of S Janaki and Ilayaraja.
The song keeps ringing in the ears for a long time. The movie was also very good with a good message. Have you seen it?
