Raagas,Krithis and Raga based Film Songs

@ Topic: Dwijaavanti is a lovely Raagam, which is a Janyam of (derived from) Harikaamboji Raagam. Its counterpart Raagam in Hindustani music is Raag Jaijaiwanti.
Infact, it is believed that Jaijaiwanti came first, and much later, Carnatic Music also adopted the Raagam from Hindustani, and included Dwijaavanti into its stream.
There are many more famous film and devotional songs too, set to this Raagam. Some of them are:

Manamohana Bade Jhoothe (sung by Lata, from the film Seema)

Dil Ka Diya Jalaayaa (One of Madam Noorjehan's famous songs, from the film Koyal)

Pal Pal Hai Bhaari (the second stanza of this song from the film "Swades", is set to this Raagam)

Mouname Paarvayaayi (from the film 'Anbe Sivam')

Yeh Dil Ki Lagi (from the famous film "Mughal-E-Azam")

Jaya Raama Ramaa Ramanam Shamanam (Bhajan by Goswami Tulsidas, sung by Lata)

And the ever popular Bhajan "Raghupati Raaghava Raajaa Raam" also is based on this Raagam, though it also takes few foreign notes at a later stage.

Dear gk. Shyam,

i have one main doubt about the nagaswara concerts.
Unlike other concerts , the percussion instrument melam is played even in the middle of thr ragha alaapala. Why ? Also how can the player decide the thala before starting the song.
