    nothing sai...make the batter to idli dough consistency ... now take the filling mixture..shape into balls with your hand..dip that ball into the batter (pooranam urundai pidithu mel maavil mukki edukanum)..Hope i havent confused you :hide::hide: ?!?!

    I regularly stock various canned beans. I serve them with multigrain bread for a protein n fibre packed breakfast. Drain the canned liquid Wash the beans. Saute beans with onions, garlic and tomatoes. can add ketchup or cheese to enhance flavour.Finish with salt n pepper. Its a tasty n healthy start for the day.

    We dont get much canned beans here.... except for Rajma, even that I have not tried.... I have only used the dried beans or the fresh ones....

    Here is another recipe..... :

    ALOO METHI TOFU PARATHA

    For the dough :
    1/2 Cup Wheat Flour
    1/2 Plain Flour
    1/4 Cup Soya Flour
    3 Tbsp Soya Milk
    Salt to taste
    1/4 tsp soya oil(or any other oil) for kneading.

    Mix everything into a soft dough with enough water.
    Divide into 6 equal small balls.


    To be mixed into a filling :
    1/2 cup boiled and grated Potatoes
    3/4 cup chopped Fenugreek Leaves (Methi / Venthaiya Keerai) - can replace with any other Greens
    3/4 cup grated Tofu (Soya Paneer)
    1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
    2 tsp dry amchur powder
    1 tsp finely chopped green chillies
    Salt to taste.

    Divide the filling into 6 equal portions.
    Roll each ball, keep one filling mixture, cover and roll out again into 5" diameter circle.
    Cook on a hot Tava & Serve hot !!!

    Red Chori beans(Thatta payiru) and Ash gourd gravy(puli kuzhambhu)

    1.Dry roast 1/2 cup of red chori beans and cook it with enough water

    2.Once they are 3//4th cooked add 1 cup of cubed ash-gourd, 1/4 cup of chopped onions, 1/4 cup of chopped tomatoes,sambar powder(chilli powder +coriander powder - 1:2),turmeric powder and salt.Add enough water for cooking them.Once the ash-gourd gets cooked well add tamarind extract as per taste.let them cook in low flame

    3.once the raw smell goes and reaches to gravy consistency..grind coconut pieces(3 tablespoons)into smooth paste and this to the gravy and simmer for few minutes

    4. once they blend temper mustard seeds,split urad dhal,curry leaves, a pinch of asafoetida and very little methi seeds.

    Red Chori beans and Spinach Curry:-

    1. Cook 1/2 cup of red chori beans..spread well and let it cool

    2. Clean and chop a bunch of spinach

    3. Heat oil and splutter mustard seeds,split uradh dhal.Next add 2 red chillies.

    4. Grind little pepper(optional),jeera,garlic and saute for few seconds

    5. Add spinach saute well by sprinkling water with enough salt.

    6.Once the greens are done add grated coconut and cooked red chori beans..Simmer till they blend and serve hot

    I haven't cooked this..But a colleague of mine brings this dish often..Tastes great :)..She saute's little onions before adding spinach
