Protein in urine during pregnancy is a problem?

    I am 10 weeks pregnant
    and found Protein in my urine is +

    and my doctor advised me to go for culture test?

    Is there any problem with that?

    and also she advised me to go for NT Scan which detect Mentally retarded child in earlier stage.

    Plz advice me on this?

    protein in urine in any stage of pregnancy should always be checked out for issues related to diabetes, kidney problems, urinary infection, high blood pressure etc. my doc tested it at every visit.

    the nt scan is done at the end of the first trimester and is recommened because it catches problems early and also is more accurate. it is part of standard pregnancy care and nothing to worry about.
