Progesterone injections after IVF positive

Hi All,

If you conceived through IVF, how many days were you asked to continue the progesterone injection after positive pregnancy test. The place I go, irrespective of the condition of the patient, by default, they tell to take it for 6 months. I feel it is too long for some one to bear those oil injections.

Can you pls. tell for how many days you continued the injections.

I was asked to take till completion of first trimister

Doctors do prescribe it till around 4 months.What can work is keeping the area warm before injections and then using a cold pack on the injection site later on.
