    Hello readers,

I got a sty(small boil) in my eye in the end of Feb this year. it remains for 3 days and got burst automatically. Again i got the second sty. i consulted an eye specialist and she gave antibiotics. It went off.

Then after two weeks I got another one. i consulted the doctor and we checked for the power.i had -0.5 power in my right eye.The doctor said because of the power in the right eye, the left eye is getting strained automatically and so u are getting styes. This time also I took antibiotics. Gave warm compress to the eyes and then it went off. She prescribed for specs and i am wearing it from April End.

For two month there was no problem. Again i got stye last week.i gave warm compress and applied the ointment(Exocin), which the doctor prescribed before and it went off the next day itself. but again and again it is recurring.

I do embroidery and crocheting. is there any problem because of this? The doctor once said it may be because of prediabetic stage.

Please help. what can i do if i get styes. any eye specialists, please help.

Has your doctor prescribed you of regular eye hygiene routine?
I have myself been a victim of this..

    1. Use a clean pillow.
    2. Do not pick your nose and then touch your eyes!! This is the main culprit, which spreads the bacteria onto your eyes..
    3. Do not try to touch your hair and then rub your eyes.

    Check this out..
What is a stye? What causes it? How do you treat it?

Thanks for the reply. I used to touch my hair often because of the itchness of dandruff and then without knowing me i used to rub my eyes. thanks for the information.

My doctor said it is because of the stress given to the eyes. She didn't prescribed any eyelid hygiene. is is anything related to stress?

Homeo medicines worked for me. Of course, I have been using only homeo for all my ailments. Also, I am a little worried that your doc gave you antibiotics for a sty. I think that is a little over the top. Antibiotics are strong medicines, and should not be prescribed for small (small as in - not life threatening, I know how much a sty can disturb us!) issues like this.
