Pon vidhyashram velachery

sweety have you checked sanacademy. one uma here has her kids in that school and she is very happy and also recommends the same to others..

my son is studying in pon vidyashram ,velchery.
actually i have both positive and negative comments.....

positives.
1. teaching till now ( my son has been in this school for lkg and ukg) has been good. teaching here seems to be better than other cbse school..(as far as i have heard).
2. van facility is good. so probs in sending him to school.
3.happy that it is a cbse school.
4. iam happy that he is not travelling too far everyday to school.we reside in velachery.

negatives.
1. infrastructure is bad.
2. number of students in my son's class( ukg ) is more than 40.
3. the school is planning to introduce shift system due to lack of space.
4. i dont know if the students have good oppurtunities to involve in extra curricular activities .
5. the school is yet to get cbse affiliation.
6. not all sections have good teachers.
7. teaching has been good for lkg and ukg...but in higher sections.....i heard some classes have good teachers and some dont have regular teachers.


on the whole...iam not ssooo happy with the school...in case u get some other school....u can surely try and go ahead with it.....in case u r in velachery and u happen to get in dav...then plzz do go ahead with it and drop pon vidyashram.iam planning to put my son in some other school if we get a chance to find some vacancy.
ofcourse " the other is side is always greener"...so in case i put my son in some other school......i dont know wat kind of +& - will be there in the new school.....
this is not to discourage u .....but jus my views......in case u have already paid the fees then dont repent.this is not a worst school after all.....in case the child happens to get a good teacher then it willl be fine.

Initially i thought of Pon Vidhyashram was not upto level, but after seeing the students studying, i go bad impression about the school. I can sense lack of discipline which schools need to inculcate in kids. When I compare a student of Sans and others schools in Velacherry with Pon Vidhyashram, their attire and dressing says the disciplined culture of the school.
