I used to live just north of you in Spencer....we had those turtle crossings up there for the box turtles. Driving used to be so arduous when those turtles were migrating, everyone trying to dodge big turtles in the road. WV has tons of wildlife doesn't it?

    tashi,
You are right...this is a Mountain State...so we live in the forests..:biglaugh
We do see turtles in our backyard...migrating to the water place nearby..
I also saw bunnies jumping around during spring..and also during the night..
Some say, they witnessed bears too...they are not a frequent visitor here..eventhough occasionally they do in farther places..sometimes raccoons too...

This state is famous for Deer Hunting..:rant.during the Thanksgiving season..:-(

In my area here I have had bears, turkeys, skunks, foxes, coyotes, rabbits, numerous types of squirrels, voles, mice, and many many kinds of birds including turkey vultures in my yard. Its like Grand Central Station.....

    Hi Sri,

This is such a cute scene you have described. And the interesting thing is most of the time, the most impatient of drivers stop in their tracks with such situations and the frown on their forehead turns into a smile on their lips. Thank you for sharing and brining a smile on my lips too (though I am not an impatient driver :biglaugh)

    sigma,
Enjoyed the humour in your fb...true...the most impatient becomes the opposite when it comes to respect nature of this kind..:)
