    Hello friends
I am planning a trip to Shimla in June. What are the places to see in and around Shimla?

    Hi Shalini
Some of the most popular sites for tourists in Shimla is the Mall Road (with its heavy wrought iron grills). Then there is the Ridge with its wide open grounds. The Lakkar Bazar is famous for the amazing variety of wooden articles and show pieces on sale.If you are religiously inclined you may visit the Church (off the Mall Road) and the quaint and famous old Kali Bari Mandir. The Church is believed to be the second oldest Church in India. A visit to Shimla is not complete without visiting Jakhu which has a Hanuman temple. The area is overun with monkeys.
Do write back about your Shimla trip.

    Hi Shalini
If you have time, stop over for a day to two at Dharamshala. You can then continue your trip by train to Shimla. It is seat of the Tibetan govt-in-exile. Almost every one goes there to have darshan of Dalai Lama. The area has great natural beauty and you can see the Dhaulagiri range from here. There are plenty of shops selling Tibetan goods in the Mcdeolganj area

    Hello
A great option which is just outside Shimla, is Chail. Chail is about 65 kms from Shimla. It boasts of the highest cricket ground in the world. Another big attraction especially for kids is the wild life park here. The area has good hotels and eating options too.
    Happy Chail.
