Jagannathan temple: An exact replica of the Puri Jagannath Temple. Those who have not been to Puri can take a look at this temple. The temple is situated at Kannathur on ECR about 20kms from Adyar. Hi: I was a resident of Chennai eight years ago and when I was there I really loved going to the Asthalakshmi temple on Besant Nagar beach. As the name suggests the temple is dedicated to eight Lakshmis - Dhanalakshmi, Santanalakshmi, etc. I'm sorry I cannot help with any further details as to how to get there & so on - seem to have forgotten the names of the roads! I had visited Chennai when I was a kid but can't remember much had been to the repital sanctuary and some temples around.
