Hi Krishnama, Thank you so much for sharing the Keerai recipes. After seeing the photos I came to know some varieties.
Long time I have this doubt , Can we cook murungai keerai in pressure cooker? anybody please help to clear this doubt.
Very nice of you to post the photos of keerai and their recipes...Thanks so much Krishnaamma.. Will try all the recipes one by one...
Krishnaamma- I've a doubt. Not sure of the name of the keerai.. I've seen a keerai whose leaves' shape is very similar to betel(vettalai) leaves, the stems are merroon and leaves are also green and merroon in color. Its plant is a creeper. They say it is used along with Dhal. Have you come across such keerai? If so could you please let me know the name of that keerai? I'll try to get the picture of that keerai..so it would still be useful to identify the name... Thanks, Ashwini
HI Ashwini, It is called as "pasalai keerai" I have given the photo (I think) you can make "kootu" by using the keerai. It will give very cold to our body. very good for our h ealth. good for eyes and hairs.
