The map would have been reversed , had the Vasco de gama not traveled all along the Atlantic to reach India to start a trade.

See if you ever read any history , India was the golden goose pre 14th century, That was the reason all Europes were desperate to start a trade with India. unfortunately (for india, fortunate for Europe) they conquered it, looted it for 3 centuries. Left us with extreme property. Still within 7 Decades we have bounced back , showing the world the we are once again super power.

Even if you go by that wikipedia link , Third world as words are no longer used, instead they are referred as Developing.
It will be better , If you read well about India, before calling such a large Democratic country as blah blah blah...

 

The same worry comes to Indian parent who send their children to America . The thought about racism, the thought of gun culture , the thought about terrorism.
