    Hi ladies..

I have been having pain around my belly button and it feels warm just around that area from 2 days. Pain is more when I cough/sneeze or laugh. I dont feel any much of pain when I rest, but when I get up or move, it feels very painful all over abdomen from belly button. Is this normal?

    Hi,

The abdominal wall is expanding as the baby grows and the uterus expands. Don't forget to mention this to your obstetrician. Hold the abdomen with your hands and support it around the belly button when you cough and sneeze. In general pregnant women should avoid lifting heavy objects and from anything below the knee level. Turn to your sides and push yourself with your arms when you get up from the bed. Use of maternity panties is recommended as it gives a gentle support to your abdomen.

    Take care...
