    Hi Ladies

My little one has quite a lot of toys and these days she hardly touches them. RIght now, it is lying in big baskets and huge plastic covers. Is ther some way to organize this ... esp. keep it off the floor?

    TIA

    Hi

    Some suggestions:

    1. Seggregate the toys. Those which are your kid's favorites/ plays with them everyday, one set. Those they hardly touch (am sure there would be some), the other set. Pack the other set and put them away in the attic/ loft. Take them out after a long internal, you will find they will show renewed interest in them!

    2. Get kid's beds with storage beneath. They are great place to store toys.

    3. Get stackable baskets, those which you can keep on top of one another. Use them to store the small and medium toys.

    4. You can get shelves done on the wall above their beds, above their study table - at a level where they wont bang their heads. You can use the shelves to display the toys.

    5. And if you have some toys which you are sure your lil one will not play with, give them away to charity! Toybank and Goonj kind of NGOs gladly accepts toys.

    Cheers!

Tia/Ritu, the best thing to do would be to bring them out in cycles. So choose some of the toys that are your kids' favorite. Keep them out to play and when they seem bored, bring out others. This might seem like a chore every week, but then easier than trying to keep the floor clean.

I also usually store toys in big plastic bins - make seven of them, allow that day's bin for play and put it away in the night. That should keep them busy and amused :)

    Hi,

How does the following sound to you:

Giving the toys for rent which are not used now by your kid ? This will generate some money for you.

Rent a toy for your kids as kids usually get bored after sometime and you can another set on rent? This saves a lot of money and will keep your house clutter free.

Buying second hand toys as they will be value for money? This will save money again.

    Regards,

    Shaishav
