Old pattu sarees with new designer look

    Hi , i am a silent reader of this site. First time i am posting a question. Could someone please give me ideas on how to reuse my wedding sarees ....they are 25 year old and in perfect condition. Especially maroon with zari border and orange with zari border. What contrast color I can add to the border to give it a designer look...please help.

    Dear prk1234,

    There are designers who can give your old saree a new twist... usually they are can be separated as body of the saree and border and can be stitched to contrast colored chiffon or georgette sarees to add grandeur. We can stitch salwar suits using these sarees with a dash of embroidery or other embellishments too...
