I have posted the below thread in Indian Diet and nutrition forum as it's more relevant.. Are Chapathis Bad? Request all of you knowledgable and fingers conscious people to reply. I want clarification about a basic thing, I.e I consume Chapathis on a regular basis though not daily ( limited quantity only like not more than 2-3 per meal and without oil or ghee) and rice other times ( no white rice but substituted by red rice / brown rice/ quinoa / millet / Dalia / oats ) .. Sometimes I have whole wheat bread... is the consumption of Chapathis and wheat in general hampering my weight loss efforts ? I buy Whole wheat Atta form reputed brands without Maida content .( I avoid multigrain Attas as many of them contain Soya ) since I'm on medication for hypothyroidism, should I reduce or avoid wheat and wheat products to lose weight?
