Its a protein rich snack Vandhuamma. Made of dal. It is said in olden days when they gathered broken dal ( residual dal after filtering) of all kinds they made this recipe.

I have no clue of Morkulampu periamma. I feel a lot of dishes are shared across with different names and slight variation in recipe. Now with a lot of cooking channels on internet everything is recognised well.
