Read the following on GD:

If you're diagnosed with gestational diabetes
Your doctor will likely recommend frequent checkups, especially during your last three months of pregnancy. During these exams, your doctor will monitor your blood sugar. Your doctor may also ask you to monitor your own blood sugar daily as part of your treatment plan.

If you're having trouble controlling your blood sugar, you may need to take insulin. If you have other pregnancy complications, you may need additional tests to evaluate your baby's health. These tests assess the function of the placenta, the organ that delivers oxygen and nutrients to your baby by connecting the baby's blood supply to yours.

If your gestational diabetes is difficult to control, it may affect the placenta and endanger the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the baby.

Your doctor will also conduct tests to monitor your baby's well-being during your pregnancy.

I was also thinking of maintaining my diet the week of test so that results are not that bad... but after reading this, i felt that we should eat normally to get it tested, else oxygen levels will be low for baby thru placenta if GD is not treated on time.

I had mine last week and it went well fortunately. If we are diagnosed with GD we might have to take daily insulin and all i heard so was worried.

 

Don't take chances ,better inform your doctor about this . Not sure why it's happening so .
Now in 26th week I started to feel heavy while walking,but until now walking was alright. Pelvic pain I doubt why , ask your doctor at the earliest

 

Hello ladies ... all of you started preparing baby registry ?
Anything in particular to be prepared for winter babies ?
Anxiety of a first time mom

 

My first kid is a winter baby. So, we need warm clothes for sure for baby and new moms. Cap/mittens/swaddlers/socks are a must.
