Hi All, I'm new to this forum and Chennai. About LKG admission... My daughter is not selected from any CBSE schools(in/near Adyar). I think almost all LKG admissions in CBSE schools are closed. Should I continue to send her to play-school which currently she goes to or change a school which she can prepare for UKG or 1st standard(have no idea that kind of school is there or not)? Is it really difficult to get admission for UKG in Chennai? Both my husband and myself are new to Chennai. It would be a great help if someone could guide me!
@sona2011 Sister, :welcome to IL family, You can try ABSM - Achariya at Adyar for LKG, These are feeder schools concept and around Adyar I guess there are three schools and follows CBSE. if need be i can also put a word. Yes getting admission in UKG / Ist Std admission in Chennai Schools especially in Adyar Area is bit difficult, however it is not impossible, you may have to start as early as Nov / Dec, for the current AY. May be you can try and have her in Achariya Achariya - Top CBSE Schools Best Colleges in Pondicherry Chennai Coimbatore and then next year or year after you can try to shift to a bigger school by then you would also get the feel of the schools given that now you have no other option May Baba guide you too Aum Sairam
@Saisakthi Thank you very much for your reply and suggestions! I checked ABSM website,it seems to be a good school and not very far away from my home. I will go there and talk to them as soon as possible. Yes,it is not possible to get UKG admission,will definitely try next year!! Thank you
Hi I feel you can put them in euro kids or kidzee adyar for right now. Plan for the school from dec itself in schools like sankara both adyar and thiruvanmiyur chettinad and st patricks then it will be quite easy..good luck

And I heard about Redwood Montessori school in Besant Nagar as well. Do you have any idea about this school(Fee structure,teachers etc.)? Yes,as you advised,I will start preparing much much before for next AY.
hi iam newly registered to this site. Iam from chennai aswell but porur. iam searching best and affordable cbse schools near porur and came to know about arulmigu meenakshi amman public school from sulekha. Do any one know about the schools performance. If so please let me know.
Schools near Adyar such as Bala vidya mandir, Sankara, Chettinad, St johns, etc is really tough to get. U can try schools such as Vaels billa bong etc , which is close to thiruvanmiyur / ECR.
