I would call her seive, because anything you share with her will be known to everybody else. The only secrets she maintain would be hers or her son's. Otherwise I had a news and she asked me not to share it with everybody including my family, which I did not like but held it from them and then she broadcasted it all over to people who had no immediate interest.

I would also call her a 180 degree turn, because she says one thing and if it happens that way she would say, see I said so. If it does not happen that way, she will change her words and say - see , did I not say it? I told you.

My late FIL (died before my marriage) used to call MIL Radha as a nick name- saracastically - reason behind it- most movies of Nirupa Roy back in the day has her character name as Radha and she is always crying as she was tortured by someone or another -But he said it as " You are not no Radha!" meaning she is the opposite

Over time I have had many evil nicknames in my head
but the one I still use is CBF (Catt But Face is English) when she purses her lips her mouth expression reminds me of -in Punjabi - "Billi di B__" No joke I keep seeing the bottom side of a cat- the lady has the expression mastered

Those who have seen the movie Andaz Apna Apna will know this one. There is character in that movie called Crime Master GoGo, whose pet dialogue is 'Aaunga, kuchh na kuchh to leke jaunga.' It was his principle as a thief that if he comes he must take something, irrespective of its value.

I call my MIL Crime Master GoGo. Whenever she comes she takes all the things I have lovingly collected over the year, be it cosmetics, perfumes, nail paints, handbags, jewelry, sarees, or cardigans. Even if I buy her a similar item, she will keep eyeing what I have. Her tactic is to keep praising the item until I give in and say "Okay mummy, if you like it so much you can keep it." After a half-hearted "No No" she happily keeps that item in her bag. So much so that I have resorted to hiding things I really love, because I know she will want them and I won't be able to say no. :)
