Dear IL'ites, Looking for your inputs on a new tagline for Indusladies? We had long used this "Largest Online Community for Indian Women". Even though that is still true, that needs an update for a few reasons. - The goal is no longer just to be largest. What makes all of us proud is to be the "friendly", "helpful" and "useful" community for Indian women. So a tagline that reflect those ethos will be good. - Earlier tagline states a fact, but it doesn't tell what it will do for members. So, something that is more externally focused on the member than internally focussed on the site would be nice. So, please share your thoughts on a new tagline. Jey
Uniting the Spirit of Indian Women Come and blend in the harmony of Indian Women Bustle and blog of the Indian women Rise to the spirit and voice of Indian women Hosting the Spirit of Indian Women Hosting the Voices of Indian Women Connecting/Uniting/Hosting [something] the spirit/voices/pulse/aspirations/inspirations [something] of Indian women She is your next click Indian woman She is your next click woman, faster and closer than the next door woman. But the deviant me thinks the tagline should not be fixed but reflect the contemporary mood of the Indian women Like, For Pongal: Harvest the joy and spirit of being a woman Harvest the fun of being a woman (shorter) Harvest of Indus Woman's Diversity (shortest) For Republic Day: March to the beat of the Indian women For Holi Speak to the colours and shades in the muse of Indian women The colours and shades in the creativity of Indian women Colours and Shades in the Scribbles of Indian Women Paint the reflections of Indian women. Join us. Blend in with the shades and splashes in Indian women [A tagline with shades and colours and holi theme] Rang De Belle Rang De Indus Woman For April Fool's Day: She's no fool. Don't pull the wool. For Diwali: Sparkle in the charm and sense of Indian women. Join her. She fires up. She cheers on. She lights up wherever she goes. For ..what next? Woman's Day? She's shining. She's conquering. She's the day! Join us in her celebrations. (or) No retreat and grunt, shine on the forefront. (or) Wreck-it Indus Woman! or say, something witty for Sivaratri Sleepless in Sivakasi
Indusladies….a place where (Indian) women get together (for everything), virtually! (virtually definition - Google Search)
For the gif you will need some village shots with many-bangled women, their faces obscured in in dupattas & ghunghats, carrying water pots on their heads and hips, cooking on an open fire on the floor, milking cows etc. etc. dissolving into a montage of schoolgirls in uniform raising their hands in class, Smriti Mandhana getting her double, then Mangalyaan blast-off avec scientists ... you get the drift. Then you will need Usha Uthup's voice: "Not Yesterday's Woman Tomorrow - But ... Tomorrow's Woman Today! Indus Ladies – the Engine of Reinvention ..." The design elements would be a transition from sedate Indian News Review style B&W melange (Sarojini Naidu, Indira Gandhi, Kiran Bedi etc. ...) with crackly background music, brightening to ... well, send me the cheque first.
