Neighbors From Other Cultures- Friends Or Not

Initially I used to be friends only with Desis when I moved to usa bez everything new to me. But after some years through my experience I learnt few lessons and got to know how to select friends and still some desis I keep in touch but not too close ( some are more like my Indian relatives). Even few desi families I wanted to be more close but it's hard sometimes as their wave length would be different. So I maintain low profile and good relationship if I feel these families are important to me.

Good friendship with non desis I have as well, but sometimes I have to be careful as I don't no how they will think and their culture is different. But numerous times I felt non desis are better than desis when it comes to kids playdate.
