    Dear Sokanasanah,
The owner's details are from hearsay only. When Ramachandra college was opened some 25 years back, it was popularly called'udayaar college or saaraaya udayar college, a liquor baron. Now it has changed hands. Many popular cine stars have a hand in it.
Many medical Colleges and hospitals have a special wing for medical care, at least in books.
.They are run like corporates with shares owned by many people.Naturally politicians are very careful about ownership. They will have every word in the college but in some one's name. They ensure that neither themselves or binomees don't get into trouble.

The capitation fee is there for the past 40 years in India. It was in tens of thousand and now the same is in lakhs.
There are Chartered Accountants who have specialised in the field of Trusts, Trustee Act etc and they are paid in lakhs by the educational institutions for just taking care of proper accounting procedure ,seemingly not corrupt, and which can be accommodated under some legal clauses. One of our distant relatives, who was the financial Controller of a leading company has resigned his job and took charge of finance of a big group of institutions consisting of two medical, four Engineering, two dental ,five Arts Colleges and a special wing conducting para medical and research oriented 7 year consolidated Ph. D. programme for courses like bio medicine, genetic engineering etc.
Every body laughed at him when he resigned. But now he is the owner of a palacial bangalow in the heart of Chennai and both of his sons do medicine without a pie.

capitation fee has got many faces.Mostly they are in the form of Building Donation, that ls made to look like voluntary contribution. For 80% of capitation you get receipts under various heads from various names.Intending aspirants don't look into such details. They have to pass and earn the money they spend within 5 years. That is main motive.
I have noticed one thing. Some children who score just 60% in plus two and enter medical colleges paying lakhs. Previously I used to think that children with poor scores are being pushed by parents. But it is not the case always. Some children start taking taking interest after joining medicine and their performance is exemplary.I don't know whether they are 'late bloomers' as addressed to by educationists.

With all this huge expenditure how can the doctors be expected to be service oriented?

    Dear Madam,

Data have been collected from various articles from popular dailies.I don't know the validity.
Teachers working In CBSE schools say that the science portions in both State Board and Central Board are almost similar. While some of the Govt schools have not performed badly in NEET, some of the private schools, ( just like the one, in which Anitha Studied) miserably failed because those schools never taught plus one potion. They started teaching plus two portions from day 1 of the 11th standard and made the children write so many tests and their motive was to ensure that more than 80% of the children got above 1100/1200. The method was purely exam oriented.Since the mode of selection all these days was based on plus two scores alone, this was much advantageous.
The only way to is bring a common syllabus, introduce public exam for 11th std or the plus two exam should contain questions from 11th std syllabus also. When we studied SSLC we had both 10th and 11th portions in Science and Maths for 11th Std ( SSLC ) exam.
Even if NEET is introduced after 5 years, the same opposition will be there. While the Govt is prepared to give so many free things including Lap Top, they can very well arrange for for free study materials and free coaching classes. After initial hurdles children would get used to such deep studies, Instead of fighting against NEET, Govt could encourage children to be more competitive in this challenging world.
