Yes, getting the right folks and also materials is key. I am getting it done in my place with a simple deisgn. It is day 2. Hopefully it will be done in next 4 days. I am doing it because of lighting. Good lighting will make a world of difference.
k11 long time.. Is this for the flat you bought in nungambakkam..if it is not personal can you post pictures later.. i love the lighting of the false ceiling but somehow, i do see dust specs sticking more prominently on the ceiling.. and being asthmatic, i find it risky.. and we are a family who perform lots of homams..so the cons weighed more than the pros..but if there is a better option and viable one maybe i will look into it later...
Yes, this is for the unit I bought last year. I am slowly doing the renovations. Done with altering rooms, made master bathroom bigger. New vitrified flooring, re-installed electrical and plumbing, UPVC windows, painting, now ceiling work. Next will be shelves, wall units, crockery unit. Need to buy a pantry. I do not see many in furniture shops. I might have to convert and use a wardrobe. Master bed and Kitchen work will be done later. Dirt being collected is a major disadvantage in false ceiling. Hiring a person once a month to clean prob is nessesary. I hate glare bombs (huge light in center) or jewellery shop type lighting in homes. Through recessed lighting you can spread low wattage lights evenly. I will let you know how it turns out. Will try to post pictures later, once the work is complete.
