Need help with finding apartment in Northville, MI.

Dear IL's in Detroit area,

We are moving from Wisconsin to Detroit in 3 weeks. Planning to look for an apt. in Northville area. Can anybody suggest some apartments with good number of Indians in Northville.

Hi tamilgirl77,

We have short listed a few in Northville. They are Northville woods, swan harbor and park place apartments. Yet to finalize. Not sure about the indian community there. If you get to know any other apartments in Northville, please let me know.

P.S : I am also from Tamilnadu

Are you looking only in northville? We are looking in Novi heard that indian population is very spread out in novi and very few indian population in northville area. Pavillion court and shorebrook has few indian families. What is your budget. We are looking around $1000 and good schools with indian families around are my priority. What about yours

I am in Michigan but not near the areas you are looking into. My first job (5 years ago) was in Wixom, which is very close to Northville & we often went to eat in Novi for lunch. You can see how close these cities are. The area is nice and safe, predominately white area. Novi would be the large city in that area with a shopping mall & general hangout area. REgardless of whether you are in Northville or Farmington hill, most likely you will go to Novi for your entertainment need & honestly you are looking at few minute drive.

Sorry I can't make any suggestions about apt, reator should be able to help. The area is nice. Regarding desi community, there are lot of desi in Novi area. There is so much desi that a Indian movie theater exist in that area. But it is suburb and everyone is spread apart. Hangout in the local mall, you will see plenty of desi.

Cedar lake is also good. And I know some Indians there. You can go to Farmington hills too, because it is almost a small India there. It is not far from Northville.
