    Very nice Golu.

    I am posting our Golu's pics here. I am keeping Golu after 2 years break. My 9 year old daughter inspired me so much and she did great deal of help in arranging it. Of course my son and DH helped to unload dolls from loft and fit the steps.

    Credit goes to your daughter for her ideas and to you for encouraging her creativity and enthusiasm.

    The theme for my Golu this year is Palani Murugan, and the story of the fruit of wisdom or "jnana palam." Narada muni brings the fruit to Shiva who in turn wants to give it to his children. since there is only one fruit and it cannot be cut, a contest is announced and he says whoever goes around the world three times can have the fruit. Muruga takes off on his peacock to fly around the world.Ganesha on the other hand says his parents are his world and goes around them 3 times and wins the contest. Lord Muruga on returning feels cheated and goes away to palani mountain.
    I have tried to depict three scenes
    1. Ganesha going around his parents 3 times
    2. Lord Mururga flying on his peacock
    3. Palani mountain.
    Enjoy the golu, and feedback is always welcome
