Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers. ~Charles W. Eliot

We have read several books and it can be difficult to remember the titles and content of each of them. Books make us cry, laugh, ponder and give that push that we need, to go on with our lives. There are books that leave its long lasting effect on the mind of a reader and have even changed the lives of people.

On the World Book Day (March 7), can you tell us which book has had a profound impact on you and why?

    hello coolblues..

    cool topic.

I read mostly fictions. So i dont remember anything that impactful.

But yes. I read rujuta's book " dont lose your mind, lose your weight", in which she had mentioned that we should never quit eating the food which we used to eat while growing up, what our mother ate when we were at her womb.

being obese and diabetic, i used to completely ban rice from my diet once. After reading this book, i do include rice in my diet :).

    Cheers

Naming kids based on novel's characters does show the tremendous impact of the book.

Vanathi sounds a very nice name..

If I have to name one book then it is:

    Illusions by Richard Bach.
Read this book for the first time when it was very much needed and many more times later on.

    cheers,
    Anitha
