Anyday my Vote is for RMKV. Even though it is costly the Quality o the saree is good. I find Pothys saree lacking Quality. I also love to shop in Kumaran's and Nalli.

My wedding sarees were mainly from RMKV/Nalli and Kumaran. So were my Seemantham sarees.

    Dear Gayathrivikkram

    Congrats to you.

I feel Lehengas you can try at Naidu Hall. I have seen very good collection there.

For 9yards (as per your tradition, if its there) go to Nalli. For other silk sarees, the best is RMKV / Palam or Sundari. Palam Silks is run by the daughter of Nalli Chinnaswami Chetti group owner only. But they have mixed collections of tradition with modernity / current trend.

Good luck to you. Pls. post the pictures after you made the purchase.
    Shanti

Kumaran had excellent lehenga sarees. The ones I found in Nalli looked a little tacky.. But kumaran had very beautiful ones for about Rs 3000.

For Sherwanis that fit well, I'd suggest Manyavar or SKC. Manyavar has a better collection, and is not very expensive either. At all other places like RMKV, I found Sherwanis to be very ill-fitting. (If it doesn't fit well, what's the use of a nice design?) The other suggestion would be Style One in Adyar. But Manyavar is def my first choice.

I wud suggest RMKV or Nalli only for silk sarees. Never choose Silk sarees from Pothys, i had a recent bad experience when i bought a 4K silk saree from Pothys and on the first time when i wore it in a function, the blouse material and the pallu side threads started seperating.
