I am writing this blog because I have received some queries from some of my Sisters at IndusLadies on my entry in the "Love for food" contest.
They have asked me how did I take Professional looking food pictures in the contest?
To all of them and to all others, my reply is- I have a Photography website and An external food and photography blog. The rules in IndusLadies does not permit me to make any of the links of my website and blog-public. Also by publishing my website and blog link here, my real name and identity would be revealed. I do not want to reveal my real name [for personal reasons] in IndusLadies.

I have been doing photography for many years but I am doing it more seriously after my marriage.
I have three cameras-Nikon Cool Pix S550, Canon Powershot S5IS and Canon EOS 1000D [A DSLR] Camera. I have a tripod. I use PICASA from Google to edit my photos.

Also, if you have some photography related queries [like-how to take photos, about lighting and editing of photos], please feel free to ask me here.

As of now, I am posting a few pictures, taken by me and I hope you will like it.

    Touching a rose

This is shot in the day-light. It is a macro photo , meaning " a close up shot ' where "macro lens" is used.

My husband holding a decorative item which was placed over my birthday cake !

An ordinary camera needs "a flash" to shoot objects at night. But in this night photo, my powerful camera has been set to "no flash" mode-crystal clear picture even at night with no flash !

Peacock feathers being sold at a local fair/mela.

This is shot with a "zoom Lens"- where a object from a long distance can be captured as if it is near us.

The inside part of a red bouganvillea flower- A flower inside a flower !

This is a "Macro" shot or a "close up" shot. It is not possible to take this shot in a ordinary camera, because in a simple camera, the closer you come near an object, the object will get "blurry" and out of focus. So you need "Macro Lens " to shoot small objects and make them appear bigger.

    Thanks,
    HAPPY
