My husband does not listen!!!!!!!

    I have always wondered if all men are like my husband. Well the thing is that my husband seems to register only half of what I say. (Important discussions get registered word by word.) The problem comes with less important things that I say. seems to remember only a little later. specially if I get his attention when he is reading the paper or looking into the computer and say something. Are there others who feel the same?

    Most of the men are like that only Vidya. Mostly they try to keep a deaf ear for less important things or sometimes try to act as if not listened though they do. My dh will respond only to the important ones or the one in which he is interested and for others he simply behaves as if I am not telling to the wall behind him.

    Dont know about all ....I am like that for sure ! My wife tells me I dont listen. She can now tell exactly when I am nodding but not listening or saying something without paying complete attention. She always brings up controversial issues when she knows I am not listening ! :)

    Once I was telling DH something and he showed no reaction but was glued to TV.I stopped what I was saying and told him,"You know wat...I called home and spoke to MiL" Instantly his head turned towards me and he asked "what did she tell you????" :rotfl

    Then I caught him that he just doesn't listen to what I have to say but reacts immediately if I open some topic about his family!!! :) :) :) :thumbsup

    Indus2, can you please enlighten us as to why men don't listen when their wives talk? Why this selective deafness/hearing? Would help us to know. :)
