Re: My experiments in Kitchen!!! Sprouts chat A very healthy and tasty, filling snack. All you need: 1/4 cup Green gram lentils whole (sprouts) 1/4 cup matki dal whole (sprouts) 1/4 cup Avalakki currum (recipe given already) 1/4 cup boondi (khara boondi) 1 medium onion finely chopped 2 green chillis (Less spicy) Pudina & Coriander chutney (Grind together 1/4 cup coriander, 1/4 cup mint & 3 pieces of Garlic) Salt Kala namak 1 tb sp Chat masala 1 sp Tamarind paste (Alternate: Lemon juice) Dates syrup (If don't have this add sugar) 3 spoons of carrot (grated) 3 spoons of Cucumber (finely chopped) All you have to do: Take a wide mixing bowl. Add the sprouts to it. Add the chutney, tamarind paste, dates syrup,kala namak, and salt. Before adding salt, taste it. Add chat masala, carrot, onion, cucumber, and mix well. Fry the green chillis in a little oil and sprinking a little salt on them. (Cover them or else they will splutter) Serve in the plate and add the avalakki currum and boondi upon it. Sprinkle chat masala. Decorate with green chillis fried.
Hi Ananyya..i saw this thread just now...are you from Hubli...my Uncle(Moms brother) and their family are living there....we used to go in every summer hols and had this Girmit/vada pav...besebelibath....Belgaum style veg rice....i am missing hols dear...thanks for sharing mouth watering recipes here.....
hi ananya, i don't know how i missed this thread all these days; nice thread for south indian instant recipes. I will post neer dosa recipe here 1 cup rice 1/2 cup coconut powder salt to taste soak rice for 1 hr and grind well and add coconut powder in the end and grind it together. Add salt and mix well. Heat tava and start pouring the batter which is off water consistency ( so no need to spread it) and prepare dosas by slighty roasting both the sides. Instant prepareation along with coconut chutney yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmy...
hi renutn, soaking rice for 1hr is sufficient for neer dosa.. i have a friend from mangalore she uses left over rice and fresh coconut for neer dosa.. i find it very difficult to prepare.. can u give me more details..

I am planning for a potluck in our family (our family is huge -we can have a small get together!!!) and planning to do the steamed vadas. Will get back to you with the feedback.
