My Avatar as Lyricist - for Harris Jayaraj Music

Here is what I penned for music of Harris Jayaraj.....try singing it in the same tune as "Mun Dhinam Paarthene" song from Vaaranam Aayiram.....

Hehe....yes...he created the music...i wrote my own lyrics...and doesn't it mean I wrote for his music ;-)

முன் தினம் பார்த்தேனே
இன்றைக்கும் பார்த்தேனே
தினமும் தான் பார்ப்பேனே
என்னை நான் கண்ணாடியில்
எத்தனை பார்த்தாலும்
பார்த்தது போறாமல்
மறுபடி பார்த்தேனே,
நேரமும் வீணானதே !
கண்களில் மை பூசவா?
தலையிலே பூச்சூடவா?
இப்போதே அவன் வந்து பார்த்தால் என்ன ?
அதன் பிறகு மேக்கப்பை கலைத்தால் என்ன ?..... (2)

தலை முதல் கால்கள் வரையில்
என்னை நானே ரசித்துக் கொள்ள
சில நேரம் நின்றேனே கண்ணாடி முன்
புடவை நிறத்தில் நெற்றிப் பொட்டும்,
வளையல் மாலை தோடுகள் அணிந்து
பொருத்தங்கள் பார்த்தேனே பல முறை நான்
ஒ....மீண்டும் மீண்டும் மாற்றிப் பார்த்தேன் பொருந்தும் வரை
இமை மையும் உதட்டுச் சாயம் சேரும் வரை
முட்கள் ரெண்டும் துரத்திச் செல்ல நேரம் போனதே !!

First of all thank you for dropping by. Yes...couldn't get my hands on writing...quite held up with work.....so wasn't here.

I read your blog (the one you had mentioned)....and enjoyed it. In our family too (when all cousins were in India...school days & college days)...we used to talk, discuss & sing on similar lines...good old days
But i should say we are also innovators...for we don't end up singing in the right raaga or with thaalam...;-)

And yes, thank you for including me in the same fraternity of your family
