    Hey
    Welcome to Sydney.
With a child you will most likely get a 2 bedroom apartment. The rent here is weekly. And vary a lot depending on condition of the house, amenities, proximity to train station, malls etc. Consider it between 480 to 580 a week plus 4 weeks in bond.
Most places you additionally pay for gas, water, electricity.
Do try to get a house with gas not electric range
And it's very rare to find house without carpet. But if you do find, hardwood or tiled is easier maintenance than carpet.
Groceries for a family of 3 would be approximately 300 to 400 per month depending on how many times you eat out of veg non veg.
Most daycares are on per day basis whether you send your child for 2 hours or 10 cost remains same. It's around 120 per day but you get a rebate in certain percent depending upon your family income.
Also consider the travel cost which is a bit expensive.
    And phone, cable, internet.
