    Hi,
    I am coming to New York from India. Please suggest me good localities to stay. I have 8 years old child so a good school must be reachable.
    I can pay rent max 1800-2200$ per month . My office will be in Lexington Ave, New York City.

    New Jersey is cheaper then NYC to rent, so find a place in NJ that's easily accessible by subway or train...(penn station ) to NYC

    Jersey City is commutable

    If you want to stay in NYC, then Queens, esp Jackson Heights.

    Or you can live in Brooklyn, such as Sunset Park.

    I highly recommend Jackson Heights or closeby Indian neighborhood in Queens. It'll be easier adjustment. They call it "Little India"
