    Hi all,
Can any one tell me if there is a good Indian community near Chicago downtown ? We are planning to move to Downtown area but looking for good public school/montessori school with good Indian enrollment for our 5 year old son and also looking for a 20-30 minute CTA bus/train travel if possible.

    -thanks

    Hi babyjesina,

Thanks for the reply..On what basis the school gives admission, bcoz some school say we have to apply for the schools in the previous year or way ahead to get admission like first come first serve basis.Does your son go to CPS?And how far is it from downtown chicago as my husband works in downtown chicago.Bcoz when I googled in maps.google it shows the travel time as 1hr 45 mins..Your reply is greatly appreciated...

    Hi Nithi
try Park ridge commons in des plaines. We just moved here. everywhere Indians here. decent apartments. everything close by too. My husband travels to downtown for work. there is bus to station and the stations are also only abt2-3 miles. not very far. Schools are first come first serve mostly but u can try u will get it somewhere that should not be a problem
    Thanks
    Sneha

    Hi Savitha
you can try Westmont area. there are 2 apartments there with Indian community. Twin lakes towers and one more I can't remember the name just adjacent. I am quiet familiar with Schaumburg and Des Plaines area. So driving from here is not a prob for your husband, let me know I can suggest you some more apartments with schools.
    Thanks
    Sneha
