I bookmarked the snippet link to read later and a thought crossed my mind, I wondered if it ll be more resourceful if there was an index for your threads. Just that. Hope you didn't mistake.
@kaniths, I agree with you on creating an index. For the past 30 minutes, I was reviewing how many snippets I had written about mind and somewhat related to mind, thoughts, meditation, emotions, etc. Boyooboy! I have been writing about it since 2012. It is an eye opener for me! Something makes me write about mind again and again. As long as it won't take away what @Gauri03 is trying to accomplish in this thread, I will be glad to create an index myself and provide the links in one place. If all are in agreement, I can post the links here itself. Viswa
I am posting here the index of all that I had written about the mind either partially or completely in a snippet. If it is relevant to this thread, please give your comments here. Otherwise, please post your response in the snippet that is linked here. I have arranged the latest snippets first for easy reference. You may notice that my writing was very different a few years back. My lack of experience in writing is the cause. 1) Preparation 2) Magic Bullet 3) Tip Of The Iceberg 4) Post-mortem 5) Journey Of Life 6) Sufferings 7) Intellect Vs Cleverness 8) Drop In The Ocean 9) Stimulating Gray Matter 10) Thumb Meditation 11) Stress and Mindfulness 12) Quality of life 13) Symphony 14) Meditation 15) Energy 16) Cia 17) Extraordinary 18) Knowing Vs Being 19) Forgiving 20) Goal in life 21) Matter, Mind & Motivation 22) D & a 23) Ego 24) Body 25) Cad 26) Present 27) From love to love 28) Que Sera, Sera 29) Trinity 30) Is happiness perceived or felt? 31) Object of the Soul 32) Discovering Self 33) Expectations 34) Chaithanya 35) Every experience is a lesson 36) Love and Use 37) Self confidence 38) Is there life after delivery? 39) Made in five elements 40) Equanimity 41) Compatible Parallel Being 42) Super Brain Yoga 43) Cleansing the parking lot 44) Knowledge Vs Experience 45) Introspection 46) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/conversation-with-the-lord.260216/ 47) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/vibrations.254092/ 48) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/sixth-sense.252834/ 49) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/where-is-peace.252193/ 50) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/flower-garden.248033/ 51) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/big-data-analytics.244367/ 52) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/the-best-form-of-worship.243238/ 53) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/power-of-meditation-and-chants.243025/ 54) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/emotional-rational-mind.241494/ 55) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/born-with-a-silver-spoon.230037/ 56) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/cracking-our-codes-and-rewriting-them.223316/ 57) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/mission.222908/ 58) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/is-ignorance-bliss.222472/ 59) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/alignment.221906/ 60) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/a-monkey-on-steroids.220478/ 61) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/knowledge-experience.219690/ 62) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/i-am-trying-to-be-what-i-am-not.209281/ 63) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/in-search-of-peace.290521/ 64) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/control-of-life.290458/ 65) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/watching-my-thoughts.290441/ 66) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/freedom-from-the-correction-facility.195054/ 67) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/is-my-castle-built-with-strong-foundation.189992/ 68) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/bmi.289933/ 69) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/emotion.289922/ 70) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/things-that-influence-our-thoughts.289699/ 71) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/what-are-thoughts.289490/ 72) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/control-alter-delete.289265/ 73) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/knowledge.289150/ 74) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/establishing-eternal-peace.289136/ 75) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/character-personality-development.289133/ 76) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/preparation-for-the-journey.289126/ 77) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/receipt-reaction-response.289121/ 78) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/the-purpose.289061/ 79) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/brahmananda.289049/ 80) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/self-is-supreme.289047/ 81) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/is-my-goal-realistic.289002/ 82) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/living-in-the-street.288951/ 83) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/who-am-i.288939/ 84) http://indusladies.com/community/threads/conditions-of-mind.288900/ Viswa
Awesome body of work! Hats off to you, @Viswamitra. I would love to read all and assimilate and become a Gyani. Well, I really don't think I have that kind of intelligence or the intellect! Instead of reading those high funda books, it is better to read them here and seek clarifications and/or guidance directly from you, right?
Dear Smt. Geeta (@GeetaKashyap) Frankly, it is accumulation of knowledge from the learned people and my own interpretation combined. I wouldn't suggest those words as guidance. Far from it. I would recommend making own inquiry to learn from experiences and educate me also with those thoughts so that I can learn from you. Viswa
Then you may have to wait for the next birth. In this life, I have survived so far with a limited brain
@Gauri03 great thread. I'm officially stalking you . Too much information for me to process. I remember once I was so much into mindfulness(influenced by my co-worker) I obediently went and ordered top 10 books that appeared on amazon search. Need to find that amazon box and start reading them .
Feb 18 / 18 (bed time) : 5 mins Hm. A 'bad mood day'. Did a mini guided mindfulness on the topic 'Negative Thoughts', followed the session with some CBT thought analysis and reframing exercises later. The audio session talked about acknowledging negative thoughts without judgments, labeling them as they appear in the mind (like boxes on a conveyor belt) and send each one away to move on to the next box (or thought), eventually learning to let go and distancing ourselves from disruptive emotions. Enjoyed the session, felt better after and hope to keep in mind the technique. Feb 19/18 (morning) : 7 mins Insomnia + Anxiety. Did another guided mini session to start the day in a better mood, on topic "Calming breath". From the audio, I liked the analogy of air passing through the chest as cars passing through a tunnel. Only the cars move, the tunnel stays still so should the air we breathe and our chest be (for this technique maybe). On continuous practice this breath handling will become natural and be very useful during times of anxiety, I hear. Awesome that, Guess I ll. I'm curious now, Do you guys do guided or unguided meditation? If guided type, What topics you choose daily / mostly or anytime? I alternate between both types, depending on the day. If unguided I always choose rooftop rain music to listen to, reminds me of home and brings up sweet vibes to the mind to settle down easy. Sometimes I prefer neither options but just blank silence. Works!
