I have gone through this since I did not give away the jewellery, though my hubby gave her the locker key she happily took it with her..I thought she would tell me keep it with me :-D but it never happened..
3rd day after marriage my hubby told u did not trust my family. He stopped talking to me and I was feeling so lonely in the new home..all looked at me as though I took their jwellery and kept in my locker..he used to ask water and when I brought water he said ammaa why cant u give me water,,amma why cant you serve me food..i dont need anything from her ..being newly married all these behaviours were really hurting...

Yeah, what happened? Stuff like this drives me crazy. :BangHead: That walk to the fridge is too challenging? Has his new wife fetching and carrying three days after the wedding? I guess 48 hours of romance ought to be enough for any gal - errrmmm ... sorry Robot SW-A2886. One has to be grateful for plumbing I suppose. Otherwise you'd have to go draw water from the village well. But, who'll milk the cows when you're gone?:buenrollo:

So, what did happen? Did he shape up eventually? Hope he's learned (you have taught him) a thing or two. Sheesh.

Depends on what she gave her : jewellery or loads of attitude !
Maybe a jug of water on the dining table would solve a lot of issues .

Can your mil operate your locker without her name on the locker?

My situation was a little different, my MIL wanted me to deposit into a safety deposit box the next day, but in my name and she just asked that I add her son's name. I put all my gold plus the ones she gave me. She was really great about it. My parents had given all my gold to them to take care of, and they handed it to me the next day.

Kept the jwellery in my locker at my place..I Took away some before keeping in the locker...and when they asked I told I am carrying it with me as I may hav to attend functions later on..and the locker key was given to my MIL..well she cant get anything by having the locker key :-D..Let her keep it :p
There were some initial fights and arguements..
After that nobody has questioned about the jewellery, hubby was least bothered later on..
