Hi guys maddy here...I might be possibly moving from melbourne to dubai to work on a project as a consultant. The project duration will be approximately 2 years. Just wanted to know about the current rental housing market in dubai. I would prefer to live in a safe area with good shopping malls and an outdoor lifestyle.

Is it feasible to buy or rent in dubai?

    Hi Maddy
Grt n welcome to Dubai. It's an awesome place , absolutely safe which ever area you may pick. Location would be dependent on your place of work. I would suggest JBR,Greens for you.Options are available for Studio, 1BHK, hotel apartments.
If you intend to stay longer , buying would be ideal but rental would be a good option to begin with.
    Cheers

Hi Shivani, thanks for your input. I'm most likely going to working in downtown dubai and would want to live some near dubai mall. I am thinking of purchasing an apartment near downtown dubai.

    Hi Maddy

Since you've your office in Downtown , it's a good idea to stay put in the same area. Good luck with the Purchase !

Should you need more info , feel free to touch base !

    Hi Shivani,

I'll have to look at few things before i purchase such as: future value, area potential, amenities, enough space for future family and accessibility. Thanks for your input :D.

    take care

    Hi Maddy

You're welcome & its a good idea to do research in advance , which can help you to make informed decision.

My two friends were staying on rent in downtown , but when they finally decided to go ahead with the purchase, downtown wasnt their first choice and picked up Meadows & Emirates Hills !

By when are you planning to come down to Dubay ?

    Hi Shivani,

I'll have to weigh up between the downtown or suburubs such as emirates hill. I am told by my company that i have to be there some where near november. I'll be working on a contract basis so as soon as my project finishes i'll most probably come back to australia. If i really like the place i'll just stay there :cheers
